A bit about me
As a textile and surface designer, with studies in screen printing and computer graphics, I bridge the design and fine arts worlds harmoniously between all disciplines.
With work experience and training in the Los Angeles garment district, and studies at Otis Art Institute surface design program, I creates work that is reminiscent of the vibrant summer textiles that I designed when beginning my art career in the early 90's.
My traditional studio involves years of experimentation with screen printing, while my digital studio is always involved in the creative process, either at the start, the end, or middle of the work.
Graphic Design
I have years of experience in packaging, logo development, poster design, promotional materials, and museum exhibit design.
In my digital design studio I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Painter, and Photoshop, and can work with you on original product development from concepts to packaging and logo development, to colorways and repeats.
Fine Art
Some of my prints are what I call "Fusion" prints, which combine the best of archival digital printing and traditional serigraph printing. Metallic and other tactile inks can be screen printed on top of the pigment print, creating a fusion of traditional and digital printing. I use archival inks in the digital process, and water-based screen printing inks for the hand screened layers. All of the prints are printed on 100 percent cotton rag paper.
